The Leonard Independent School District will partner with parents and the community to create life-long learners who are academically and socially prepared to be productive citizens. We are proud to provide a safe and respectful learning environment where all children are challenged through stimulating learning experiences to achieve their dreams. LISD Winter Weather Procedures Winter Weather Reminder As we prepare for colder weather, we want to remind you of Leonard ISD's Winter Weather Protocols. Our top priority is the safety of our students and staff. District officials will closely monitor weather conditions, consider road safety, wind temperatures, and other factors. Decisions about delays or closures are made with care and communicated through: LeonardWebsite. www@leonardisd.net Facebook District-wide calls and emails Notifications on major broadcast channels We aim to make decisions by 5:30 AM to accommodate school transportation routes and family schedules. Our considerations include the safety of our buses, young student drivers, student walkers, and parents navigating the roads. If there are no updates or communications, please assume school is operating on a normal schedule with regular bus routes and start times. LISD thanks you in advance for your patience in the event of a winter situation.
